The Big Sleepout
CEOs sleeping rough to raise funds to end homelessness seemed like a far-fetched idea in 2009 but Lifewise isn’t one to shy away from a challenge.
Inspiration Point has worked on the Big Sleepout since its inception developing the branding, website and fundraising strategy. In 2015, the Big Sleepout website, the main fundraising and event platform was in need of a major redevelopment. Social media had always played an important part in building momentum for the event and with the website redevelopment it was time to fully integrate the two.
The new website places the blog and social media at the forefront creating a dynamic online platform to drive participant and fundraising activity. Daily posts plus a combination of new and curated content encourages participants, supporters and influencers to fully engage during the event.
An updated logo and event material completed the refresh and provided the backdrop to another enormously successful event. The ambitious $200,000 target was exceeded by 50% and the 2015 event raised over $315,000.
Inspiration Point challenged us to create a dynamic site that people would want to revisit. The new site included a full feature blog feed – crucial for raising public awareness about homelessness in NZ, and for inspiring our fundraisers. 2015 was our biggest fundraiser yet – raising over $300,000 – and we believe a lot of that was down to having such a high quality and engaging website. Our participants raved about how great the site looked and how easy it was to use. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jocelyn and the Inspiration Point team to anyone.
