For over 50 years, Speld has provided learning support to those affected by dyslexia and educated teachers working with children and adults with a specific learning disability (SLD).

The organisation provides a comprehensive range of services from conferences and workshops to learning resources in addition to sharing the latest research and knowledge with its members.

Inspiration Point was appointed to redevelop the website. We ensured the design and functionality of the website followed guidelines for communicating to those with a SLD. A vast number of resources, articles and research papers had been added to the previous site and an important part of the planning stage was determining how these could be easily accessed.

To optimise the user experience the site needed to satisfy the needs of both educators and those affected by dyslexia. This included structuring the site so that navigation was intuitive for all audiences.

Personal Stories – a new addition to the website – not only provide support for others facing similar challenges, but also reflect the impact this wonderful organisation is having on the lives of many thousands of New Zealanders.
